Two pricing models. The key difference is who employs the worker.
If you do not want to employ the staff member directly, look at the agency-supplied temporary worker route. It is charged differently from a permanent direct placement.
Direct placement
The household employs the candidate.
For a permanent direct placement, the agency fee is 15% of the agreed gross annual salary, with a minimum fee of £2,000. The household then pays the worker and takes responsibility for the contract, payroll and applicable employment obligations.
The client pays FDS an hourly charge rather than employing the worker directly. Current published starting rates range from £21/hour to £30/hour depending on role. Under the current client terms, FDS pays the temporary worker and, where appropriate, accounts for income tax and National Insurance. The final hourly charge and any agreed travel or other expenses are confirmed before the assignment.
These are different contractual routes. The client terms issued for the instruction and the written assignment or placement terms control the final charge and responsibilities. Read the current Terms and Conditions.
Agency-supplied hourly pricing
Current starting rates when FDS supplies the staff member.
These are client charges for the agency-supplied hourly route, not the worker’s wage and not the direct-placement agency fee. The final hourly charge and any agreed travel or other expenses are confirmed before the assignment.
Choose this route when you do not want to employ the staff member directly. Availability depends on the role, location, schedule and brief, and FDS confirms the applicable assignment terms in writing before work begins. Read the current Terms and Conditions.
How much is a permanent placement?
The current permanent-placement agency fee is calculated at 15% of the candidate’s agreed gross annual salary, with a minimum fee of £2,000.
This is the agency’s introduction fee. It does not include the candidate’s salary, payroll deductions, pension contributions, insurance, travel expenses or other costs arising from the household’s employment arrangement.
The client terms supplied for an instruction remain the controlling document if they differ from this summary.
